Mikhail Dimov

Mikhail was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he received his Master’s Degree in painting and theatrical set design. He studied in St. Petersburg, Russia and Tashkent, and taught at The Benkov College of Art. Along with teaching art at his own studio he worked as a set designer for various theatre and film studios.

After immigrating to the US with his family in 1990 Mikhail has worked at the Dallas Theatre Center, as professor at the North Carolina School of the Arts, Collin County Community College, and as set designer and painter at numerous theatre and film production companies. He has led workshops as a visiting artist at El Centro College and Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet School and was a guest designer for several theatre productions at both schools.

Today Mikhail Dimov is a fine artist, working and teaching in and around the Dallas, Texas area. He does commercial and private commissions and is a well-respected mural painter in the Metroplex. Mikhail is the founder and instructor of Ermitage Art Academy, member of TVAA (Texas Visual Arts Association), and a member of the United Scenic Artists. He has shown work in Uzbekistan, Russia, United States, Germany, Italy, and Austria.
